In support of the Brooks Semiconductor Automation Business, the Senior Product Line Leader will be responsible for multiple product lines and is accountable for financial results, quality performance, and return on investment for new product and platform initiatives for the Systems business.   In addition, this leader will be responsible for defining the multi-year product solution set strategy and definition of new product development roadmaps.   The Strategic Plan includes: alignment with Brooks strategy, total and addressable market sizing, customer segmentation and prioritization, customer needs analysis, capabilities assessment, current positioning, and platform roadmaps that are clearly differentiated and solve customer highly value problems. 


The Senior Product Line Leader will also define, execute and implement a management system for the annual operating plan including revenue, gross margin and operating income results.   They will lead a cross matrix team of functional expertise to consistently meet and exceed short and long term customer and company commitments, while owning all aspects of the front end of new product development process including: intimate understanding of customers short and long term highly valued problems, requirements analysis,  platform definition, clear vectors of differentiation,  business model definition and segment go to market plans. 


This individual will be measured on their ability to develop a clear and concise end state vision and growth strategy, established trusted technical and business line customer relationships, new product differentiation, deliver consistent revenue and margin growth above industry rates and effective leadership of direct and cross matrix teams with collaboration across all levels of the organization.


Required Skills:

o    A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related technology field with 12+ years of experience in product management.  MBA or similar advanced degree is required.

o    The ability to develop product requirements, product value proposition and technology plans.

o    Possesses broad domain knowledge of semiconductor fab automation including; SEMI standards, 300GEM-SECS automation, working knowledge of semiconductor FEOL and BEOL processes, Advanced Packaging processes including WLP, FOWLP, Dicing, and Copper Pillar.  Familiarity with thin wafer, Taiko wafer, warp wafer, and wafer on frame technologies including Metrology and Inspection equipment experience is a plus. 

o    The ability to create and maintain a focus on competitive analysis. Collect and use all available material within the company and from other sources on competitive products.

o    The ability to analyze existing product line business and market needs to redefine current product lines, including product requirements, performance specifications, scope of supply, options and configurations. 

o    The ability to develop and drive planning for new product introductions on a global scale. Determine customer priority to achieve business goals.
o    The ability to drive customer account planning and management to achieve profitable revenue growth. 


o The ability to maintain and communicate the business unit’s booking, billing and backlog information. The Product Manager “owns” the revenue forecast for the product line. Constant awareness of current status and anything that could affect the forecast is essential. Interface with finance, sales, business unit management and operations to ensure forecast consistency.
