Brooks Automation is a fast-paced technology company that works on the cutting edge of semiconductor robotics and automation solutions.  We continue to push the capabilities of robotics inside of semiconductor fabs.   We are looking for a next generation leader to come in and transform our robotics and semiconductor automation manufacturing planning team. 

Key activities include:

  • Directly manage Production Planner/Buying team, with opportunity to build team
  • Develops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: master scheduling, production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting.
  • Drive manufacturing planning and execution for factory operations including ~300 direct labor employees producing over $300M in annual revenue
  • Own and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for department including on time delivery, inventory, and efficiency Leverage Oracle ERP systems to drive business results
  • Use data analytics to identify, prioritize, and drive root cause corrective actions.  Develop both short term (1 year) and long term (3-5 year) operations strategy

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

We are looking for someone who is excited by both technology and manufacturing automation.  The right candidate will have:

  • A deep knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Oracle) with experience driving business efficiency through better use of ERP tools (8+ years of real experience)
  • A love for data analytics and the ability to make sense of complex situations by turning raw data into useful information
  • Experience in manufacturing planning and driving business results in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in managing operations metrics and KPI (key performance indicators)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both shop floor settings and at executive reviews
  • Demonstrated management capabilities to include strategic level responsibilities including profit center input and management.           
  • High energy with the desire to drive change and create a world class manufacturing operation

Preferred/Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree with 10+ years of manufacturing management planning experience.      
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or industrial robotics (beneficial but not required)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required
  • Result driven with the ability to work well independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask handling multiple priorities simultaneously
