Overview

The Sr. Manager, eCommerce Site Merchandiser will act as a key contributor in adapting eCommerce initiative to better serve the company’s customer intimacy objective, understand customers’ behaviors, offer streamlined online experience from product discovery to online transaction to post-sale support, and use data to better inform marketing and commercial teams for comprehensive customer interactions through whole purchase journey. An important aspect of this role will be sharing learnings across our channel and helping to apply learnings with our channel partners.  The eCommerce Site Merchandiser will be a member within the Marketing, reporting to the Global eCommerce Leader and work closely with other teams within Marketing as well as key functional stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Develop strategic plans to maximize data gathered and product bundles
  • Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate market trends
  • Engage and work collaboratively with all marketing functions to deliver streamlined customer experience on company website
  • Manage entire online product catalog including new product introduction, end-of-life, designing attributes and attribute sets for helping functional partners create optimized marketing strategies through creation of targeted campaigns using dynamic blocks and fine-tuning customer attributes and segmentations
  • Serve as the bridge between marketing and our Channel partners
  • Participate in defining and refining the online shopping experience, including site architecture, browsing, and buying features, product views and details, product descriptions and other key elements
  • Develop annual merchandising calendar and initiatives to increase sales performance of each product category in alignment with seasonal trends and overall sales strategy
  • Develop online merchandising strategy and tactics, such as product categorization, sequencing, cross sells, ups sells, and featured products
  • Review daily performance of products to make real-time adjustments to optimize sales based on data driven metrics
  • Drive site enhancements and ideas based on industry best practices and emerging trends
  • Support the web and marketing team with ad hoc projects and site development issues
  • Assist in the testing and evaluation of all site enhancements, redesigns, campaigns, and new product introductions to ensure a best-in-class experience across all devices
  • Relentlessly drive improvements to the site experience through the development and execution of strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Leverage technology and data to transform specific subsets of how the company identifies, builds, QAs and displays a catalog of products, images, and videos
  • Cultivate and manage cross functional relationships to identify and execute on high priority, high impact projects
  • Collaborate with other Commercial teams, including Channel Partners, to apply learnings with other eCommerce platforms, including but not limited to Amazon
  • Oversee complex operational challenges and formulate end to end processes driven best practices gathered through benchmarking and VoC
  • Prepare communications of findings and results with senior leaders

Candidate Experience/ Qualifications/ Attributes

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing and/or eCommerce
  • BS/BA in marketing, statistics, business, economics or like field
  • Experience building internal successful internal D2C eCommerce or Amazon store
