Overview

The Technical Product Manager will direct the development of company technical market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. They will monitor the development of business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Will reduce broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing requirements plans. Will oversee market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs as well as establishes pricing strategies. Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments.

This position is responsible for managing small-scale, low complexity new product development projects, portions of large new product development projects, post launch new product development activities, and/or sustaining released products.  The incumbent will be working with other Product Managers as well as cross-functional core teams for these different efforts.  He/She will be responsible for the planning of project activities, prioritization, budget management, task follow up, communications and schedule maintenance.  The incumbent is responsible for directly and indirectly driving project execution and development efforts while ensuring that deliverables meet internal and external customer requirements and follow Brook's NPI (New Product Introduction) Product Development Process (PDP), including progress reporting and reviews by senior leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Acts as technical liaison on Cryo product lines providing product and regulatory information to sales, service and customers.
  • Respond directly and independently to end-customer inquiries and recommend escalations if needed to ensure timely resolutions and quality control.
  • Analyze business results including financial, customer, and internal process metrics.  Monitor metrics and develop actionable insights to improve the efficiency and performance of the product.
  • Assists with the creation of technical support material for sales, service and customers to drive achievement of annual sales growth.
  • Assess and report on competitive activity in the marketplace.
  • Assist in the development of market research plans and project execution.
  • Support global marketing organization through sharing key strategies and marketing materials to global partners.
  • Provide in-depth and personalized product demonstrations as needed to customers, sales, and service.
  • Hustle and problem solve as we pioneer a rapidly growing, nascent industry.
  • Uncover new opportunities to further improve the Cryo product line, the end-user experience, and work with the product team to quantify, prioritize, and launch improvements.
  • Work with Sr. Product Manager and Operations Management to ensure the maintenance of proper production and inventory levels and proactively communicate areas of concern as appropriate
  • Work with cross-functional key partners including but not limited to Sales, Engineering, Service, Customer Care, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Actively spends time with customers, internal and field visits, to ensure alignment of marketing plans in fulfilling customer and market needs and to ensure strong customer & competitor insights
  • Contribute to new product development initiatives and execution

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics or a related technology field
  • 4+ years of experience, preferably in product management / marketing or sales capacity
  • Industry experience in life science, healthcare, medical device, or pharma related industry is a plus
