Responsible for analytics, inventory, control policies and supply chain planning to ensure that programs align with customer needs and supply reliability targets. Participate in related systems including development, analytics, performance monitoring, technology, process adoption, master data management and end user support structure. Specific duties include:

  • Coordinate communication of demand forecast, customer and market trend from sales and product management to Manufacturing and Operations for production planning;

  • Map the current Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and find existing gaps that result in supply excess or stock-out;

  • Work with the Director of Purchasing and buyers to prioritize supply based on criticality of short term plans to enable continuation of production plan execution;

  • Work closely with SIOP Managers and Production Planners to align production plans with SIOP targets;

  • Coordinate planning for New Product Launch and transitioning of end-of-life product line(s) (EOL);

  • Create tools and dashboard to identify unique EOL parts and components and mitigate Excess and Obsolete Risk;

  • Use demand and advanced supply planning software like SAP Advance Planning and Optimizer, as well as direct knowledge and hands-on experience of Forecast Pro, Planvisage, to establish statistical models of forecasting demand and creating a baseline forecast for existing products;

  • Establish metrics to evaluate and improve the SIOP plans and demand forecast, knowledge of and experience using six sigma techniques like DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control approach) to improve the SIOP process;

  • Utilize analytics for insight and identification of significant inventory improvement opportunities; and define and commit inventory targets based on demand variability, customer service level and demand segmentation identified by data analytics and business trends;

  • Define inventory strategies and action plans to support targets including drive Safety Stock, Min-Max and Kanban agreements using experience with Kanban sizing algorithms;

  • Provide cross-functional leadership and program management to achieve the inventory targets

  • Compile inventory metrics and weekly Point Estimates; and assist with inventory forecasting and goal setting;

  • Provide long horizon supply visibility tools for efficient demand and supply balancing, proactively highlighting areas that need urgent management attention;

  • Develop strategy for next generation Sales, Operations and Inventory planning business process;

  • Leverage analytical tools MS Excel, Power Queries, Visual Basic (VBA), Access SQL to create and automate intuitive and interactive dashboards for management review of key business areas and performance indicators;

  • Use and leverage advanced statistical methods, including exponential smoothing, linear regression, Croston modeling, simple and weighted average models to identify and categorize component inventory into various demand segments for better planning;

  • Update management on Purchase Price Variance (PPV) tracking and Cost Down progress vs plans on behalf of the extended Supply Chain group;

  • Work with Enterprise Resource Management tools like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics; and

  • Represent the consolidated Operations Group’s business requirements and solution designs within Oracle Cloud transformation.

Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Operations or a related field, and two years of experience performing data analysis, forecasting and planning.

Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include:

  • Two (2) years of experience managing Supply and Demand Planning / Sales Inventory and Operations Planning for a multinational company;

  • Two (2) years of experience using statistical techniques like exponential smoothing, linear regression, croston model to understand and project market and customer trend of demand;

  • Two (2) years of experience in managing large sets of data, leverage tools including Power Queries, VBA, MS Excel to create supply chain dashboards to measure and track KPIs;

  • Two (2) years of experience working with ERP solutions like SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics;

  • Two (2) years of experience with various inventory management techniques demonstrating a track record of optimized inventory, increased turns, improved Customer Service Levels (CSL)
