The Senior Director & Assistant Controller is responsible for all aspects of Corporate Accounting including the record to report functions such as general ledger accounting, revenue and consolidations, technical accounting,  Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, and accounts payable. This position reports to the Corporate Controller and will regularly interact with Regional Controllers, Divisional Controllers, External Auditors, Internal Auditors, Chief Financial Officer and other functional leads within the Company. In addition to leading all aspects of corporate accounting, this role also provides leadership in technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards, and supports and assists with the implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls, corporate policies, and procedures.


  • Leads the global accounting process.
  • Establishment of accounting policies and procedures which are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Non-GAAP measures, and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Management of financial information systems including Oracle EBS ERP and HFM.  Works with IT team to drive system and process optimization.
  • Manages the financial closing process and provides thought leadership in driving process improvement to the process.
  • Provides technical accounting guidance and support to global locations
  • Plans and coordinates external audits and SOX audits.  Collaborates with auditors to drive efficiencies in the audit process.
  • Leads the global financial reporting process
  • Manages all aspects of financial SEC reporting, including but not limited to Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, Annual Report.  Provides thought leadership in driving high quality disclosures in financial statements.
  • Manages internal financial reporting process.  Exhibits customer focus in delivering value added information to the Company’s Executive Team.
  • Manages compliance with government reporting.
  • Leads functional departments and processes
  • Manages the Accounts Payable department and provides leadership in driving process efficiencies.
  • Manages the U.S. based general accounting department which includes general accounting for U.S. subsidiary global consolidations, and SEC reporting.
  • Provides technical experience focusing in areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, consolidation, and evaluation of effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with PCAOB regulations and financial reporting.
  • Provides technical accounting leadership to the organization
  • Assist with Merger & Acquisition activities including due diligence team participation, work with external valuation firms on purchase accounting matters and integrate newly acquired entities into the consolidation process.

Basic Qualifications


  • BS Accounting/Finance, MSA or MBA a plus


  • 10+ years in an accounting / finance leadership role within a publicly traded company
  • CPA is required; Big Four experience preferred
  • Experience leading corporate accounting function, to include directing monthly close process for a US based publicly traded company.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvement in the corporate accounting function.
  • Demonstrated success in dynamic, growth environments with highly customized solutions & varying business requirements
  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write technical papers and articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and leadership capability. Ability to assess, organize, plan and execute projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines.
  • Experience using a large scale ERP System (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) and Financial Consolidation system (HFM) is required. Oracle experience a plus.
