We are seeking a Laboratory Operations Managerto join our Gene Synthesis team.

Responsibilities :

Oversee and contribute to the development, validation, and implementation of Gene Synthesis workflows, services, solutions, and platforms
Lead the effort to set up lab operations and improve cost, efficiency, and performance of workflows
Oversee and contribute to lab service with custom project requirements that fall outside of standard procedures
Lead the effort in leveraging customer insights to research new Gene Synthesis workflows applicable to GENEWIZ customer base
Communicate project requirements, status, and deadlines with internal teams
Aid in developing Marketing materials to promote new services and solutions
Aid in training Sales, Marketing, PM, and Gene Synthesis team members on new Gene Synthesis services and solutions

Qualifications :

PhD in Biological Sciences, required
7+ years of strong knowledge of molecular biology, molecular cloning, required
Hands-on Molecular biology assay development experience, required
Hands-on experience with lab automation, required
A high level of innovation, creativity, and initiative to work independently as well as manage a team(s) to develop and execute tasks and fulfill long-term project requirements
Demonstrated attention to detail and documentation
Lab operation oversight experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
