Overview

Summary:

The Global Director of Program Management leads and directs all client-facing program management services for Brooks Life Sciences SRS.  The scope of the role encompasses Project Management Operations and On-site Operations, including (but not limited to) management of the day-to-day activities associated with clinical trial support, resource deployment and client relationship management. The Global Director of Program Management is also responsible for operationalizing new services into the SRS portfolio after completion of successful pilot programs.  This role will create and implement global policies and procedures which result in attaining departmental milestones, achieving high levels of client satisfaction and delivering profitable growth. 

Essential Functions:

1. Develop strategic initiatives that focus on overall performance metrics and client satisfaction to drive quality and efficiency improvements.  Deliver revenue, growth and margin expectations of the business. Ensure contractual obligations in client master service agreements and contracts are met.

2. Provide strong people leadership through effective communication, hiring, coaching, mentoring and performance feedback. Partner with team members on development. Ensure a robust succession plan for self and key positions.

3. Ensure resource requirements for new programs and initiatives (whether PM resources, SMO resources or other) are identified early and included in Sales and Operations Planning process. Develop a program that provides coverage for small on-site deployments.

4. Effectively plan resources to work with clients on a daily basis to achieve performance targets in line with service level agreements.

5. Ensure all service failures are identified, investigated, and resolved appropriately.

6. Lead and develop your team.  Establish a career path and succession plan for all key personnel. Provide leadership of multidisciplinary teams toward a common objective.

7. Is responsible for overall fiscal management of areas of responsibility to include capital, expenses, revenue, budgets and effective use of personnel. Ensure costs are aligned to revenue and margin targets. Develop and manage to appropriate operational budgets and AOP. 8. Develop proactive, innovative processes designed to work effectively across functional departments, to remove potential roadblocks and resolve organizational conflicts concerning people, resources, facilities, etc. Ensure communication and partnership with sample management organization to increase awareness of specific customer requirements and to remove potential roadblocks.

9. Engage early with new programs and client initiatives to determine a roadmap, milestones, potential roadblocks and resource needs.

10. Provide input on draft agreements to ensure Brooks Life Sciences can comply with client expectations while achieving margin targets.

11. Translate new initiatives into standard offerings, leveraging all Brooks Life Sciences Services’ capabilities to deliver comprehensive services.  Ensure new product offerings meet or exceed financial targets.

Academic and Work Experience:

  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in Life Sciences. Master’s degree is also preferred.
  • 10 years of project management or related experience, four of which involve people leadership. Experience in leading global operations preferred.
