Overview

Builds and nurtures customer relationships. Supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” with our solutions. Collaborates with sales, product management, and support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Proposes high-level strategies and architectures for systems or enterprise-wide practice solutions based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs and existing systems infrastructure.

Participates in sales and proposal presentations in addition to ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Provides technical marketing support for the configuration and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex systems.

Makes presentations on all aspects of products. Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Implements detailed customer installation plans. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Brooks.

  • Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.

  • Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.

  • Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”

  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.

  • Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms. Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.

  • Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.

  • Assists sales team with demos and presentations when needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Scientific or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 1-2 years customer engagement, support, account management, sample handling, biobanking, healthcare, software services or project management experience.

Preferred

  • 3+ years customer engagement, support, account management, sample handling, biobanking, healthcare, software services, or project management experience.

  • Life Science software usage experience (LIMS, LIS, Biobanking, Study Management)

  • CRM experience (SFDC, etc.)

  • Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Scientific or related field.
